The Inland Wetland Commission postponed its public hearing on the application for an eight-lot subdivision on Cannon Road until Thursday, Aug. 11.

The public hearing was originally scheduled for July 28.

The subdivision is one of the larger residential subdivisions to be considered in town in years. The 55.2-acre property is owned by LTWJ, LLC.

At its July 25 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission decided to postpone its public hearing on LTWJ’s subdivision application until Sept. 12.

The plan proposal not only deals with land division, but grading, utility location and sight line distances along public roads as well, according to Town Planner Bob Nerney. The subdivision would be serviced by two common driveways.

The Inland Wetlands Commission’s Aug. 11 meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Room A of the town hall annex.
