Town counsel is appointed for another term
Ira Bloom of Berchem Moses P.C. was re-appointed as Wilton town counsel to a two-year term.
The Board of Selectmen voted on the re-appointment unanimously at its meeting on Dec. 17.
Bloom was initially appointed for a two-year term in 2016. At that time, he was filling a position for a term that expired on Nov. 30, 2017.
The new agreement between Bloom and the town aligns Bloom’s fee schedule with the new term.
The monthly retainer amount, $8,000, remains the same as in the previous agreement. The hourly rate for litigation and use of attorneys outside the retainer agreement is increased from $225 an hour to $234 an hour.
