The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a special meeting in the Town Hall Annex at 11 a.m. on Feb. 12, for the purpose of electing an individual to fill the vacancy created when former commissioner Lori Bufano resigned to serve on the Board of Selectmen.
Commissioners who can’t make it to the physical meeting may participate by phone. Their voices must be able to be heard by those in the audience, according to Connecticut law.
In Connecticut, notices must be published at least 24 hours in advance of the meetings they announce. Notice of the Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission's special Feb. 12 meeting was made public on Feb. 10.
The names of individuals being considered to fill Bufano’s vacancy are not listed on the special meeting agenda on WiltonCT.org, but according to a Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission spokesperson, “there’s no hard and fast rule” on that.
