In an effort to promote participation in local government, the Wilton Republican Town Committee invites the community to an open house in Room 14 of the Comstock Community Center on Tuesday evening, Jan. 8, from 6:30 to 7:30. The community center is at 180 School Road.

“If you’re wondering how to get more involved in the town, the open house is a great opportunity to meet neighbors and learn about the process for running for Board of Finance, Board of Education, P&Z and other elected positions in November 2019,” Bill Lalor, committee chairman, said in a press release. “And if you don’t want to run for office, there are lots of other ways to take part in town governance through non-elected town board positions, and membership on the RTC. All of this will be part of our open house.”

Following the open house, the RTC will hold its regular January meeting that is open to the public starting at 7:30.

The RTC will host a second open house on Jan. 22, at 6:30, at Comstock.
