Hearing on affordable housing will be May 11

The Planning & Zoning Commission will, on Monday, May 11, open a public hearing on a plan to build 30 apartment units near the Wilton train station.
The plan, proposed by developer Patrick Downend, would place a large building of units, including some affordable units, on Old Danbury Road near Wilton Commons and Trackside Teen Center.
The town of Wilton has a contract to sell the land for these units to Downend so long as the plan passes the town’s land-use requirements.
