The Wilton Board of Finance voted during its April 17 meeting to support the following three bonded capital projects for fiscal year 2019:

  • $3 million for repaving 15 miles of road, as part of the town’s five-year repaving plan.

  • $700,000 to replace the artificial turf at Kristine Lilly Field with crumb rubber coconut husk infill turf with shock padding.

  • $400,000 for repaving and installing additional lighting at the bus barn on School Road, where school buses are stored.

The Board of Selectmen finalized its bonded capital budget on April 2. The projects will be on the referendum at this year’s Annual Town Meeting, taking place Tuesday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Wilton High School Clune Center.

Voting will take place after the meeting and an adjourned town vote will take place Saturday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Clune Center.
