Wilton Continuing Education offers cupcake-making course

Cupcakes will be the focus of one of Wilton Continuing Education’s new culinary courses — Cupcake Creations: An Interactive Workshop — on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m.

In Wilton High School’s culinary arts room, Ridgefield resident Chef Rodanthi Manousakis will teach students how to make cherry vanilla cupcakes, salted caramel cupcakes, and frosting.

Before founding personal chef service My Chef To Go in 2014, Manousakis earned a degree in French cuisine from Pius IX Culinary School in Montreal and was head chef, manager and owner of the Universel Dejeuners et Grillades in downtown Montreal.

There is a $15 materials fee, payable to the instructor, as well a $20 course fee for residents and $30 for non-residents.

Participants are asked to bring their own muffin pans with enough room for six cupcakes.
