The Wilton Board of Education has announced that Hazard, Young, Attea Associates will be assisting the search committee in selecting a new superintendent to replace the retiring Dr. Gary Richards.

John Chambers, senior associate  and former superintendent in Bronxville and Chapaqua, N.Y., made the presentation to the board on behalf of HYA. Deborah Raizes, another senior associate, will also be a part of the team assisting the committee.

The company boasts more than 25 years of service, with over 1000 searches for educational executives.

Mr. Chambers said the process will run in four phases: planning, recruitment, selection, and appointment. He indicated focus groups and interviews would be held in Wilton on October 29-30.

Additionally, an online survey is available on the Wilton Public Schools website at wilton.k12.ct.us. That survey will be available until Nov 1.

A public meeting will be held on Oct 29 at 7:00 at Middlebrook School.
