The classic fairytale of Cinderella, her fairy godmother, and the glass slipper comes to Wilton when Our Lady of Fatima School presents Cinderella for its fall musical on Saturday, Nov. 17.
Joe Santaniello is directing the musical, which features classic songs like “A Wish Is a Dream Your Heart Makes,” “A Lovely Night,” and “Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.”
There will be two showtimes on Saturday — one at noon and the other at 2:30. Fifth grader Lilly Pace will play Cinderella during the noon performance and fifth grader Taylor Sloditskie will play the role during the second show. Other leading roles include Carter Robinson as the Prince, Matthew Weiss as the King, and Liliana Benanti as the Stepmother. At the heart of the show are first through fifth graders, with the assistance of eighth graders and Our Lady of Fatima alumni.
"Every year I am impressed with the student’s enthusiasm and commitment,” said Our Lady of Fatima Theater Coordinator Karin Beggan. “It gives the students the opportunity to explore the arts. By offering all students the chance to perform onstage, students gain public speaking experience and confidence."
Cinderella will take place in the the school auditorium at 225 Danbury Road. Tickets will be available at the door for $15.
