Former Miller-Driscoll interim principal Bernadette Hess has been appointed to serve as a part-time preschool coordinator, according to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools' Sept. 1 personnel report.

Hess became head of Miller-Driscoll School in December after Cheryl Jensen-Gerner retired as principal. This spring, the school district hired Kathryn Coon to serve as the elementary school’s new principal.

Hess is a former Wilton interim administrator and even worked part-time in the special services department at one point.

She has participated in long-range planning for the Wilton school district and also served as interim assistant principal at Cider Mill when the late and former principal Virginia “Ginny” Rico was on leave.

Hess has four children currently in Wilton’s public schools and numerous years of classroom and educational administration experience in public and private schools.
