Ellis Island

More than 40 intermediate and middle school students performed in Our Lady of Fatima School’s production of Ellis Island in May. Set in 1907, the show tracked the lives of several immigrant families and individuals as they made their way to the United States in search of the American dream of liberty and prosperity. Characters included Irish revolutionaries, Swedish, Italian, Hungarian, West Indian families, a Russian anarchist and a Jewish ballerina. ‘We are so proud of the hard work, energy and talent displayed by these students,’ said Principal Martha Reitman. ‘They gave countless hours of after school time to make this production a success.’
