The Board of Education will hold a community budget conversation the evening of Thursday, Nov. 8, from 6:30 to 7:30, in Wilton High School’s library to get input from community members for the 2019-20 school budget.

Although Superintendent Kevin Smith’s proposed budget won’t be seen for “a few months,” Board of Education Chair Christine Finkelstein said at the board’s Oct. 11 meeting, the budget-building process “is well underway” and input from the public is “a key component.”

“I really encourage all members of the community who have an interest in the budget process to attend,” said Finkelstein.

“It’s so important that community voices are heard as we build a budget, and that evening will offer an excellent opportunity for community members to meet with members of board, and also with members of the administration.”
