The national education program Camp Invention is coming to Our Lady of Fatima, 229 Danbury Road, the week of Aug. 4-8.
Camp Invention fosters innovative thinking and the spirit of innovation by encouraging kids to solve real world problems using science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The week-long STEM day camp is for students entering first through sixth grade.
Camp Invention has a new curriculum — “Morphed!” — that is designed to immerse students in hands-on activities like:
- Building original prototypes;
- Creating personalized motor-powered vehicles;
- Disassembling electronics to build an insect-themed pinball machine.
Camp Invention was founded by National Inventors Hall of Fame inductees.
