Back to school for Continuing Education


Whether you’re 6 or 60, it’s back-to-school time and Wilton Continuing Education has released its schedule of programs and classes with several new offerings.
“Wilton Continuing Education has expanded the culinary section of the Adult Education Program,” said Dolores Tufariello, coordinator of Wilton Continuing Education.
A sampling of new culinary classes include Canning & Preserving with Pam Lillis, master food preserver and Wilton resident.
“Other dynamic culinary offerings include bread baking with Wave Hill Breads Bakery and Moroccan Cooking with Williams Sonoma Chef Lauren Kohr. You’ll have to take a road trip to Two Roads Brewery in Stratford for a beer tasting — what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!” she added.
In addition to a full range of computer classes, fall brings a wide variety of fitness, language and fine arts classes — 25 new classes in total.
Fall brochures were mailed Aug. 12 and online registration is open.
“Typically the online catalog opens Aug. 1; no need to wait for the print version,” Tufariello said.
“Adult education classes run 10 months of the year and online access to course information and registration is easy.”

Classes are held at Wilton public schools or in local businesses in the Wilton, Ridgefield and Norwalk communities. The office is open and available throughout the year for information regarding adult education, SAT and driver’s education, enrichment/activities and childcare for all students — pre-K and up, before and after school hours.
