Weekend temps will bounce around

After several frigid, sunny days the weekend will bring a change in the weather but it will not be pleasant.

The National Weather Service says snow is likely for the Wilton area on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 21, mainly after 4. The high will be near 30, but a south wind of 5 to 10 mph will produce wind chill of zero to 10 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80% and one to two inches of snow is possible.

Snow will continue Saturday night before midnight, then turn over to snow and freezing rain. Another one to three inches of snow is possible as well as about one-tench inch of ice.

Rain, snow and freezing rain are likely before 10 a.m. Sunday, then a chance of rain. Less than a half-inch of snow is expected. The rest of the day will be cloudy with a high near 40.

Monday and Tuesday will be sunny but colder, with highs in the low 20s.
