Comedy night benefits Hope for Heroes

Hope for Heroes Foundation’s New England Chapter is holding a fund-raiser, Hope for Heroes Comedy Night, open to the public, on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 1st and 10 Sports Bar and Grill in New Milford.

Hope for Heroes Foundation is a certified nonprofit organization that combines a deep love and passion for outdoor activities with emotional and spiritual healing for military, fire, police, and EMS personnel who have experienced life altering disabilities while in the line of duty. Outings, events, programs, and outdoor activities organized and sponsored by the foundation provide a sense of personal accomplishment and bonding for these heroes and their caregivers, families, and friends.

Hope for Heroes Comedy Night will be headlined by Robin Fox, the 2012 grand winner of the Ladies of Laughter Competition and the winner of the 2010 Gilda’s Club Laugh-Off. She was Philadelphia’s Funniest first runner up, at the finals for The Laugh Off at Caroline’s, and Baltimore’s funniest.

Also performing is Tim Hayes, emcee, who recently won the Sarcasm Comedy Competition. He has appeared at some of the top venues in the tri-state area including Gotham, Broadway, New York and Stand-Up NY comedy clubs in New York City.

Doors open at 7 p.m., show begins at 8:30.

Tickets are tax deductible. All proceeds go the Hope for Heroes Foundation.
