According to police, around 2 in the morning on Feb. 28, a teenage motorist crashed his car into a Wilton resident's front porch, causing "substantial" damage. Police said the teen was driving east on Portland Avenue when his car veered off the road and crashed into the front porch at 73 Portland Avenue. Also hit was a car parked at that address, which by the force of the collision was displaced onto a rock embankment and lodged there. A witness said that after the accident, four passengers got out of the teen's car and started to walk away. The witness, according to police, yelled for them to stay, but the four passengers continued toward the Branchville train station, even though "one was holding his head and one was limping." Police said the driver of the car remained to wait for police. They said he admitted to speeding around the curve at 73 Portland Avenue and crashed as a result. The teen driver suffered a laceration above his right eye and was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment. The accident is still under investigation. The teen has not been charged with any crimes.
