A Wilton man was arrested March 19 for DUI and the illegal possession of prescription narcotics. Officers stopped Brendan Burba, 28, of 200 Deer Run, for swerving and running a stop sign at the intersection of Belden Hill Road and Old Nursery Drive around 1:30 a.m. Burba was driving with a suspended license, police said, and \u201cwas slurring his speech and lethargic.\u201d Field sobriety tests were conducted. Burba did not perform them to standard and was arrested. In Burba\u2019s 2013 Ford Taurus, police found prescription medication that did not belong to him, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Charged with DUI, possession of narcotics, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to drive in the proper lane, operating a motor vehicle with a license under suspension, and operating a motor vehicle without the minimum insurance, Burba was taken into custody. Police said he was later taken to Norwalk Hospital for medical evaluation \u201cdue to his condition.\u201d Burba was released on a promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on March 29.
