A 19-year-old Danbury woman faces a charge of larceny in the third degree after being arrested at 4:15 p.m. March 20 for the theft of jewelry from a home on Olmstead Hill Road. According to police, the assorted pieces were valued at approximately $3,000.

Police said Tori Lynn Alvarez was in a relationship with a member of the victim’s household at the time of the theft and targeted the home because she knew the homeowners would be away. Police investigated the theft in January 2013.

During the course of that investigation, stolen items were discovered at a pawn shop in Danbury.

According to police, Ms. Alvarez admitted to a theft from a Weston home as well. Police turned over information to the Weston Police Department and further charges are expected.
