Wilton man held as alleged Beacon Falls burglar
A 27-year-old Wilton man was being held in lieu of $50,000 bond on multiple charges related to attempted burglary following his arrest July 16 in Beacon Falls.
State police said Dylan J. Owen, 27, of 40 Antler Lane, was seen by homeowners in Beacon Falls outside of their house with tools in his hand, and that he broke several windows attempting to gain entry into the house.
Owen caused substantial damage to multiple exterior windows, as well as damage to two vehicles parked outside. No injuries were reported.
Owen was charged with burglary second degree, criminal mischief first degree, reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, breach of peace second degree, possession of burglar’s tools, and larceny sixth degree.
He was to appear in Derby Superior Court July 17.
