Timothy Maher, 24 of St. Johns Road was arrested for driving under the influence Tuesday, April 21 after he crashed his car into a telephone pole.
According to police, Mr. Maher had almost arrived home when he lost control of his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, drifting from the south-bound lane into the north-bound lane of St. Johns Road.
He eventually passed through the north-bound lane, colliding with a telephone pole, splitting it in two.
Police noted Maher was very cooperative and polite during his arrest.
He later blew a 0.12 BAC and was arrested for driving under the influence. The legal limit is 0.08.
He was released on a promise to appear and is due in court on Thursday, April 30.
