As the event-filled summer months approach, the Wilton Police Department is reminding people that anyone who sells items in town without the proper permit is subject to a fine. This applies to door-to-door sales as well as any type of food truck.
Applications for a vendor’s permit can be obtained at WiltonPolice. org, on the top right of the home page. The permits cost $25 per person and are valid for one year.
Permits are valid only between 9 a.m. and dusk and must be displayed conspicuously on a lanyard supplied by the police department. Violations may result in a $90 fine.
