Wilton police found suspected marijuana in a car on Jan. 31 after stopping it for having two different state license plates displayed simultaneously.
According to police, the 2007 Toyota Corolla was southbound on Danbury Road when an officer observed that it had a Tennessee plate on its rear, and a Connecticut plate displayed through its rear window.
Initiating a stop near Pimpewaug Road and Cobblestone Place, the officer detected the odor of marijuana and searched the Toyota, finding less than one-half ounce of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver of the Toyota was issued infractions for possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was given a written warning for improperly displaying registration plates.
