Stack of lottery tickets taken from Caraluzzi’s Market

An un-opened stack of lottery tickets, valued at $600, was removed from the service desk area at Caraluzzi’s market on Jan. 24.

According to Acting Capt. Don Wakeman, of Wilton police, the tickets were removed from the store while an employee was “assisting a female customer with another lottery ticket matter,” he said.

“The customer paid for certain lottery tickets which were then placed out on the desk for her, and she collected those as well as the un-opened stack of scratch off tickets,” he said.

The investigation is ongoing, and Caraluzzi’s is attempting to identify the customer in case she mistakenly picked up the stack of scratch-off tickets when she picked up her own tickets.
