Smell of smoke in Wilton coming from New York

A large brush fire near Orangeburg, N.Y. is causing smoke to drift into Wilton and the surrounding area, according to a Ridgefield Press report.

The Wilton Fire Department confirmed that, while the smell of smoke is prevalent, nothing suspicious has been found in the area. Their suspicion is that the smoke and smell is coming from the Rockland County town, on the west side the Hudson River.

The fire was reported Thursday afternoon in Clausland State Park.
