A week-long complete closure of Seeley Road began at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8.
"The road is expected to remain closed until April 14 at approximately 4 p.m.," an email notice from the department said.

Metro-North will be upgrading the Seeley Road railroad/highway at-grade crossing on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Commuter Railroad.

"The upgrading includes the replacement of the existing crossing surface," the email said. "A detour will be implemented via fixed message signs."

On April 9 and 10, there will be no train service between Danbury and South Norwalk. Metro-North will provide bus service for commuters on these dates.

Police expect train service to resume on schedule April 11.
