Repaving of Route 106 rescheduled

The nighttime milling and paving of Route 106 in Wilton, originally scheduled to take place from Oct. 12-16, has been pushed back by the State Department of Transportation, according to a spokesperson from the Wilton Police Department.

It will now occur from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Oct. 15, 18, 19 and 20.

A total of 3.16 miles will be repaved beginning at Hurlbutt Street through Sharp Hill to Wolfpit Road.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 106 from Belden Hill Road to Route 53 (Chestnut Hill Road). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be there to guide them through the work zone.
