In the early morning hours of Feb. 19, police say, they found a glass pipe with suspected marijuana residue in a car that was stopped for speeding on Danbury Road.

Around 4 a.m., police stopped a 2002 Dodge Neon in the area of Danbury Road and Kensett Avenue because it was traveling at 52 mph in a 40-mph posted zone.

The officer smelled marijuana and searched the car, finding a glass smoking pipe caked with burnt marijuana residue under the front passenger seat.

The front passenger admitted he was the owner of the pipe and was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued a written warning for traveling too fast.
