Pot in car with wrong plate
On Feb. 12 around 12:30 a.m. police found marijuana in a 1997 Mitsubishi Lancer after stopping it because the license plate its driver had displayed belonged to a Nissan Pathfinder.
According to police, the driver, Cody Marcel Lescrynski, 18, of 7 Great Plain Road, Danbury, admitted to taking the plate off his mother’s car because his car was not yet registered.
Before towing it, police inventoried the Mitsubishi and found a small amount of suspected marijuana, two glass pipes, and an herb grinder.
Lescrynski was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of plate, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a misdemeanor summons for Feb. 25 at Norwalk Superior Court.
