Wilton Police have responded to three burglaries near the Bald Hill Road intersection with Route 7 between Monday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 12. Houses on Ridgefield Road, Grey Rocks Road, and Spectacle Lane have been burglarized in the past two days. See the map below for approximate locations of the incidents.

Though there is no confirmation the incidents are related, due to their proximity police have said they are treating the first two occurrences as possibly connected.

Lt. Donald Wakeman said of the first two events that "given the fact that both residences are in the same general area we are looking into the possibility that the same person committed both of these burglaries."

UPDATE: Police also suspect that the Spectacle Lane burglary is connected to the first two, according to Lt. Wakeman.

Between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an intruder accessed a home on Grey Rocks Road, possibly through an unlocked door. Jewelry was taken, though homeowners are still putting together an inventory of lost items.

At 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, a 50-60 year old white man with gray hair and a thin build was seen entering a home through an unlocked door on Ridgefield Road near Bald Hill Road. A woman was in the house, and heard the dog bark when the man entered. The intruder left without incident. No property was reported stolen.

At 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported on Spectacle Lane. Wilton police have yet to release further information about this incident, except to say that they suspect all three burglaries are related.

NOTE: Since publication, the following information has been released by police.

Police suspect that all three burglaries are connected, and were committed on Tuesday, June 11. The "method of operation" for all three were the same, said Lt. Wakeman.

Police do not suspect that these burglaries are connected to those committed on Cardinal Lane, or Whipple Lane last week.
