Police search for explosives comes up empty
The Stamford police bomb squad was called in to assist in an investigation on Old Kings Highway Tuesday afternoon, May 7.
The incident began when UConn police in Storrs called Wilton police to assist in checking a home for explosives. None were found, according to Wilton police Lt. Donald Wakeman.
“It was relative to an incident that occurred at UConn yesterday” involving a student from Wilton, he said.
UConn police called Wilton police around 5 p.m. Tuesday, Lt. Wakeman said, adding he did not have any more details. A call to UConn police for more information was not returned.
