Police log: DUIs, harassment, missing money, possible break-in
A 36-year-old Yonkers, N.Y. man was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right Aug. 21 at 12:38 a.m.
Police said Vincent Sorge, of 399 North Broadway Avenue, Yonkers, was driving southbound on Danbury Road, swerving in and out of his lane. He was found to be driving under the influence and subsequently arrested.
He was released on $260 bond with a court date of Sept. 1.
A 44-year-old Danbury man was charged with driving under the influence and related charges Aug. 18 at 8:30 p.m. on Danbury Road.
Police said Julio A. Guaman, of 24 Highland Avenue, Danbury, was charged with DUI, failure to drive right, insufficient insurance and operating with a suspended license, after he was observed driving erratically.
He was released on $260 bond with a court date of Aug. 29.
Police are investigating what appears to be a theft of $360 from the cafeteria cash box at Louis Dreyfus on Danbury Road.
The missing money was reported on Aug. 17.
Police Tuesday were investigating a possible break-in at Portofino’s Restaurant in Wilton Center.
No further information was available.
Police are investigating a complaint of harassment and stalking at the Supercuts hair salon on Danbury Road.
Police said a male customer kept returning to the salon to make friendly visits after having his haircut there several months ago, and was annoying the staff.
The man had not been interviewed yet for his explanation of why he was there.
The Wilton Police Department responded to no calls of domestic violence during the week.
