Police: There are some things 'you can't discuss' in school

A student at Middlebrook Middle School was issued a juvenile summons on Wednesday, May 20, about two weeks after he made “inappropriate comments” to other students.
According to police, the middle schooler had made comments to another student that “caused alarm.”
The statements were “not necessarily violent” police Lt. Stephen Brennan said, before adding that “there are some topics of discussion you can’t discuss” in school.
Police reported that standard disciplinary procedures were followed by Middlebrook administrators and the student will be referred to juvenile court.
“We took the case on its facts, and we went forward with the standards,” Brennan said. “If a law is broken, we are going to pursue it.”
