DUI


A 26-year-old Norwalk woman was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle, speeding and following too close following a pullover July 28 at 6:53 p.m. on Ridgefield Road.
Katherine Huse, of 22 Sable Street, was released on $260 bond with a court date of Aug. 8.
While conducting radar enforcement in the area, she was seen driving 58 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone. Police say she was following too closely the vehicle in front of her. She was pulled over and it was determined she was under the influence of alcohol. She refused to perform two of three field sobriety tests and was was taken into custody, where she later submitted to breath tests and was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.2268, above the legal limit of 0.08, police said.

Drug paraphernalia


A 21-year-old Brookfield man was pulled over July 26 at 6 p.m. for erratic driving. He was found with a registration plate from another vehicle and some syringes and other drug paraphernalia.
Matthew Augustine, of 85 Kellogg Street, Brookfield, was released on a promise to appear in court Aug. 5. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, misuse of registration plates, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
