Wilton police report Old Ridgefield Road will be closed today, Aug. 13, between Hubbard Road and Center Street until 7 p.m. for construction.
According to police, the project is part of the Eversource gas expansion, and a crew will be installing gas lines in the area of Wilton Center over the course of the next few days.
Yesterday, Aug. 12, a gas line was installed on Hubbard Road, police said.
Eversource Connecticut Media Relations confirmed that gas lines are being installed in Wilton Center, and that the line installed in the area of Hubbard road will connect gas service to the Wilton Arms Apartments.
They said that they expect to be done with construction “early next week, weather permitting.”
