No insurance and marijuana

During the early morning hours of Dec. 14, police stopped a car southbound down Route 7 by Old Mill Road because the driver had failed to dim his high beams.

Police learned that the driver, Shaquawn Baldwin, 22, of 366 Soundview Drive, Bridgeport, had expired insurance.

When Baldwin’s 1997 Mazda Protege was inventoried prior to being towed, police found a small amount of marijuana.

Baldwin was given a court date of Dec. 24 at Norwalk Superior Court to answer to the charges of improper use of high beams, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana.
