Labor Day weekend begins with sobriety checks
The Wilton Police Department will conduct sobriety checkpoints on Thursday, Aug. 31, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.
The checkpoints are being made in advance of the Labor Day weekend, one of the biggest drinking weekends of the year.
Police warn that buzzed driving counts the same as drunk driving. It can take as little as one drink to fail a sobriety test.
