On Dec. 24 around noon, police stopped a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta near Honey Hill Road because it was straddling the double- yellow line while being driven southbound on Danbury Road.
The driver, Marciu Correia, 32, of 81 South Street, Danbury, had no license, and further investigation revealed an “extensive driving history,” police said.
Apparently, Correia had been arrested in Danbury for driving without a license several times, but never paid tickets or went to court.
Correia was taken into custody and released on $300 bond. He is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 4, to answer to the charges of operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to keep right on a curve.
