After a witness reported a 2010 Honda Accord was being driven erratically southbound on Danbury Road on Feb. 5, around 11 p.m., officers responded and found its operator under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

According to police, the Honda was seen swerving over the double-yellow line on Danbury Road, and its driver “didn’t stop at first,” continuing to travel in disregard of the police cruiser’s lights and sirens.

When the driver — Lynne Margaret Britt, 48, of 49 Valley Road, Cos Cob, did stop, it was near Cricket Lane. Police observed the odor of alcohol and administered a field sobriety test, which Britt did not perform to standard.

She was charged with DUI and failure to drive right, and was released on a promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Feb. 16.

Police said snowy conditions earlier in the day had no effect on this incident.
