A 16-year-old from Mt. Kisco, N.Y., was arrested for DUI on March 5 after police saw him driving a “heavily damaged” car with a flat tire.
The 2009 Toyota Camry was seen headed southbound on Route 7 around midnight, police said. According to police, the teenage driver, who was stopped near New Street, said he was not aware the tire was flat, or that the vehicle had sustained any damage.
The driver was administered a field sobriety test, which he did not perform to standard, and was arrested on the charges of DUI and DUI under 21. Police said he refused chemical testing.
The 16-year-old was released on a $300 cash bond and was given a court date of March 16 at Norwalk Superior Court.
A juvenile investigation was also conducted, and the teen was referred to juvenile court for forgery, because police found a fake ID in his possession.
