DOT installing crosswalk buttons at Route 33, 7

Today, Friday, Oct. 16, a crew with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is working at the intersection of Routes 33 and 7.

According to the Wilton police officer on the scene, the crew is installing pedestrian crosswalk push buttons.

The construction site manager explained that he was forbidden by his superiors to talk with press.

It did not seem as though the work had an effect on traffic, either on Route 33 or Route 7, as the crew was on the sidewalk and off the roads.
