Civil case in Nick Parisot’s death moves forward

Jury selection in a civil trial regarding the death of Nick Parisot is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning, March 25, at 10, in Stamford.

Nick, 13, was killed in 2008, while riding his off-road motorcycle on trails near his grandparents’ house on Hillbrook Lane when he struck a rope tied across the path. He subsequently died of neck trauma sustained from that impact and his death was classified as a homicide.

Nick’ parents, Rick Parisot and Kate Throckmorton, filed suit against Glenn R. Knight and Barbara Knight and their son Tully Knight in July 2009. Mr. Parisot and Ms. Throckmorton allege Tully Knight, who was 12 at the time, was responsible for 13-year-old Nick’s death.

In 2012, Wilton police brought a 17-year-old former Wiltonian back east from Placentia Calif., after he was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter in the case. The Knights moved to Placentia in the spring of 2010.
