Charles Garcia sentenced to three years

According to News Channel 12, Wiltonian Charles Garcia was sentenced to three years in prison on June 6 in relation to a 2012 domestic dispute which occurred at his Grumman Avenue home.

During the dispute, he threatened to shoot his wife before accidentally shooting himself in the jaw.

Mr. Garcia, 48, was sentenced to three years for first-degree assault. According to Wilton police, the shooting occurred in the upstairs bedroom of the home at 35 Grumman Ave.

Both husband and wife were injured, he more seriously, as the two struggled over a rifle. The wife, however, was able to run to a neighbor who called 911.
