Bridgeport man arrested for 'intent to sell'

Acleus McWendel, 26, of 600 Norman Street, Bridgeport, was arrested on Aug. 23 at 12:21 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana less than four ounces, possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper motor vehicle tints without tint inspection.
According to police, he was driving up Route 7 without a license plate on the rear of his 2004 Acura TL. Police noted he did have a temporary registration stricture, but it was not immediately legible due to his window tints.
Police said there was paraphernalia in plain view of the arresting officer.
McWendel was found to have approximately 21.9 grams (about three-fourths of an ounce) of marijuana, a half-smoked blunt, a plastic grinder and a digital scale. He was given a bond of $500, which he posted.  McWendel is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 2.
