Boy caught with weed in Wilton Center took mother's car while she slept

A 16-year old boy with only a learners’ permit was stopped by Wilton police around 2 a.m. in Wilton Center after police saw him driving down the road without any lights on.
Because he only had a permit, he was not allowed to be driving by himself, especially at 2 a.m.
The boy, who had taken his mother’s 2010 Prius while she was sleeping, was also in possession of marijuana and paraphanalia and was cited for that, as well.
In total, he receieved a citation for poessession of marijuana, possession of paraphanalia, driving without a qualified instructor and for violating curefew restrictions.
He was released to his mother and referred to the school resource officer for follow up.
