Cedar Road was closed for a period of time between Cobbs Mill Road and Newtown Turnpike on Saturday, Aug. 15, following an accident.
John A. Light IV, 63, of Cranbury, N.J., flipped his 2012 Toyota Camry at 11:34 Saturday night..
According to police, Light was eastbound when he failed to negotiate the curve in the road, resulting in his hitting the curb and driving off the pavement. He then struck a utility pole that made his car roll over back onto the roadway where it landed upside down, 98 feet east of the pole.
Police said the utility pole was “snapped in half,” and that some people lost power.
Weston and Wilton Fire Departments were called to the scene and Light was extricated from his vehicle.
Weston EMS transported Light to Norwalk Hospital.
The accident is still under investigation.
