Wilton musicians plan benefit concert for Newtown
Two musicians, originally from Wilton, have joined together with two friends from Ridgefield to present a benefit concert “Coming Together for Newtown” on Friday, Jan. 4, 5:30 to 11 p.m., at Tuxedo Junction in Danbury.
Doug Bogan, a Wilton High School graduate who is a pianist, mash-up DJ and student at Bucknell University, and Mario Biaggio, a guitarist who now lives in Spain, have organized the concert with Melody Curran and Mike Drogalis of Ridgefield. It is being sponsored by the Wilton Family Y.
Admission is $10 and all proceeds will benefit The Newtown Scholarship Association.
The musical lineup is diverse, ranging from rap to punk, acoustic, metal and piano.
Performers include Drew Arcoleo, Nobody Yet, Currents, Time and Again, The Silver Things, The Distractions, Smokebomb Mondays, Jacob Es, Doug Bogan, and This Week.
