Night of tributes for Bill Brennan

About 120 people, including town hall colleagues, area first selectmen and a dozen family members (including daughter Kerry Brennan Novak, who later shared her photos with The Bulletin), turned out for a testimonial dinner for Wilton’s former first selectman, Bill Brennan, at the Cobbs Mill Inn in Weston last Thursday night. A handful of presentations included an official citation from the Connecticut General Assembly, presented by State Rep. Gail Lavielle and State Senator Toni Boucher, a key to the city from First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice, the screening of an 11-minute YouTube video of visuals and music created by Wilton photographer Gretchen Yengst that featured the 10-year chief executive’s career and accomplishments and a poem by Ray Moskow, which encapsulated “the Man, Bill Brennan” in verse.
