Former pro golfer Greg Jacobson of Wilton teaches the basics of golf to clients from STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way, at the Ridgefield Golf Club. Jacobson is teaching a series of clinics designed to provide people impacted by developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn new skills and engage in outdoor physical activity. Before being diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis in 2011, Jacobson was a regular competitor in Connecticut State Golf Association tournaments. He is using an all-terrain wheelchair that raises it user from a seated position to standing in a few seconds.
