Daphne Dixon, a member of Wilton Go Green, was recently honored by Morris Media as a 2015 Green Award winner. She was director of the Wilton Go Green Festival. Ms. Dixon was given the regional award in recognition of her work with Live Green CT, an organization she founded. Over the course of her career, a press release says, Ms. Dixon has run 200 sustainability events, educated 15,000 people, and organized 50 panel discussions. In addition, she has worked with and promoted more than 300 green businesses and services. The 2015 Green Awards recognize businesses, nonprofits, and individuals that are leading the local fight to protect the environment while also creating a sustainable social and economic community.
